1. Copy the archive folder \BSP\TX28v1x to \WINCE600\PLATFORM.
2. Copy the archive folder \TOOLS\SUPPORT_TX28 to \WINCE600. |
1. Copy \OS Designs\TX28_v1_x_Sample folder to \WINCE600\OSDesigns. 2. In VS2005 IDE, go to File -> Open -> Solution and choose \WINCE600\OSDesigns\TX28_v1_x_Sample\TX28_v1_x_Sample.sln.
3. Select Release image in the Solutions Configuration.
4. Go to Build -> Global Build Settings and check the following build options: - Copy files to release directory after build; - Make run-time image after build.

1. Use "Target->Connectivity Options" menu command to open "Target Device Connectivity Options" dialog.
2. Select "Ethernet" for "Download" service.
3. Select "Ethernet" for "Transport" in order to enable KITL.
4. Select "KdStub" for "Debugger" in order to enable kernel debugger.
5. Open "Ethernet Download Settings" dialog for "Download" service to locate Starterkit device and associate remote connection settings with a unique Starterkit device name.
6. Leave "Ethernet Download Settings" dialog open.
7. Connect the Starterkit board to the development PC using cross-over Ethernet cable, or pass-through cable in order to connect via hub or Ethernet switch.
8. Connect the Starterkit board to the development PC using serial cable.
9. Open Your favorite terminal program and configure serial connection as 38400/8/N/1.
10.Power on the Starterkit.
11.EBOOT will start automatically with “NK from NAND” as Boot Device.
12. Press [SPACE] to cancel
13. Select option [5] twice to disable the boot device.
14. Select [S] to save the settings and [R] to restart the board. - At this point Starterkit device name and IP address will appear in the "Active devices" list of the "Ethernet Download Settings" dialog. |
1. Select the desired device in the "Active devices" list and click "OK".
2. Proceed to the "Core Service Settings" tab and configure service settings.
3. Click "Apply" and then close the "Connectivity Options" dialog. |
1. In Platform Builder IDE, use "Target->Attach Device" command to initialize connection to the device.
2. If the run-time image contains KITL support, at this point kernel will try to establish a connection with the Platform Builder IDE. Otherwise the OS will continue to boot. |
