The Ethernet bootloader, Eboot, is a network bootloader designed to download OS run-time images from the development station to the target device over a network connection. The Eboot bootloader cannot function on its own. You need to use another bootloader to launch Eboot. When launched by another bootloader, the Eboot bootloader performs the following tasks:
- Acquires an IP address from a DHCP server
- Broadcasts a BOOTME packet to initiate connection with a Platform Builder Development Station
- After establishing connection with the development station, initiates a TFTP session to download OS run-time image from the development station to the device
eboot.bib—contains the bootloader-memory layout and is used by the platform builder in the conversion process of the bootloader to an executable binary file (.bin and .nbo).
Select Boot Device:

NK from SD/MMC: Load run-time image from eMMC.
